So it has been 6 months since i signed up for Kagi Search again and yet again i am having a hard time deciding if I'll keep my subscription after my current month runs out in a week. 

The results are good but my needs are simple and the 13$ month (with tax) is a though pill to swallow and the lower plan with only 300 searches is not a option unless i somehow start learning how to use Bangs for my most basic searches.

So this past couple of weeks I've cross checked a lot of my searches with Ecosia, Qwant and Brave Search which all give me surprisingly similar results to each other and not that different from Kagi but some of the neat features like lenses and the ability to raise, lower or even block certain sites from appearing in results altogether is strongly in favor of Kagi and are really nice to have but again, cost to benefit ratio is a thing for me.   

And with the news of Orion Browser coming to Linux i'm tempted to go a year up front as that at least gets a 10% off to support this endeavour but then again seeing them branching out to mail makes me hesitate as i do not think that is an area where they add significant value and 135$/year in this day and age is not pocket change for me and that is not even taking into account that i take a hit due to currency conversions so the actual cost for me is even higher.
